About Us

Terry Real Estate was founded in 1978 by Philip H. Terry. The first office was located at 507 South Main Street, Madisonville, Kentucky.

In 1980 Allen F. Davis joined the firm and later became a partner in the business. By 1982, the company had grown to five people. A larger office was needed and the move was made to 1096 North Main Street. More sales people were added after the move.

In November, 1985 Terry Real Estate affiliated with Coldwell Banker and changed the company name to Coldwell Banker Terry and Associates. Within one year additional office space was needed due to the growing number of sales agents and the growing volume of business. The expansion added room for three additional sales desks, a waiting room, and a conference/closing room.

During the late eighties and early nineties Coldwell Banker Terry and Associates continued to grow. The business, once again, had expanded to a point that more space was again needed. This need was filled by expanding into the rest of the building at 1096 North Main Street. The north end of the building which, at one time, held a pharmacy and later a travel agency, was converted into a new reception area, private offices and conference room in 1996. In 2001 Tina Edwards became a partner in the business, joining Allen and Philip as brokers.

In 2004, we had grown to the point we needed more office space for our expanding sales team. At that time we made a major addition to our present real estate office.
