Class information-
February 13 - This interactive seminar-style session will clarify the roles and expectations for nonprofit board members and offer suggestions around how to support organization staff without getting in their way. When everyone works together, organizations succeed.
March 13 - Join us as we discuss the board’s responsibility to the non-profit organization’s fundraising effort. Leave with strategies and specific steps you can implement in your organization to produce sustainable results.
April 10 - By-Laws are the constitution for a non-profit organization. They are the governing documents that lay out everything a board needs to know and should be doing, yet many board members have never read their organization’s by-laws - and might not even know where to find them. Come prepared to learn how much power that little document can give you to successfully govern your organization.
May 8 - This session will focus on both board and staff succession planning and the imperative need for maintaining institutional memory. We will discuss pitfalls of failing to plan ahead and strategies to incorporate to make transitions easier and less traumatic for the organization.
